The Nash was on the quiet side tonight for the Thursday night
entertainment which was provided by that super singer/ entertainer,
Jon Dean who hails from Barnsley; he was dressed very smartly in a
suit minus jacket and a shirt. Jon opened his show with a Mike and the Mechanics hit record, 'The Living Years'. Despite there not being many in, those who were said Jon still gave 100% value of entertainment.
Elvis Presley songs were featured, 'Suspicious Minds'. 'Walking In
Memphis', was the next song which was a hit for, Cher. If you didn’t
know was about Elvis. More songs by people like Del Shannon and
Brendan Shine. The song? 'My Son'. A brilliant set from Jon Dean.
Vickers Street WMC was having a Christmas Party for the older members, (Recycled Teenagers). I got there just in time... For the Bingo.... No I didn't win. The artiste for this senior citizens party was, Thomas Henry. He was very smartly dressed for the occasion. This was Thomas's second set and the owner, Sarah, told me the he was going well. Thomas opened his set with a Mavericks song, 'Dance The Night Away'. For his next song he needed a female volunteer, she was Brown eyed girl,Sasha and the song, Brown Eyed Girl’. More songs were by, Neil Diamond. He invited Sarah on stage to help out with, 'Penny Arcade', it was a great success. The crowd joined in with enthusiasm. Well done Thomas Henry...
