The Glasshoughton club has some great Christmas lights and a very impressive Christmas Tree. Anyway! Here I am in Glasshoughton club, Castleford, with Danny Tetley who opened his show with Queen’s, ‘It’s A Kind Of Magic', he was in fine voice, he looked very smart in a grey striped suit and a white shirt. He followed with one I didn't know, (I'll find out what it is). Well my song finder tells me it, 'The Boys Of Summer’, a Don Henley song. Danny had the crowd in stitches from the word go, he sang a Barbra Streisand show song, 'As If We Never Said Goodbye'. It's been said many times that Danny has a unique voice and it's certainly all that tonight. He sang some Christmas songs including, 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, lots of emotion in this song, loved it. One by a mutual favourite singer, Neil Sedaka, the song, 'I'm A Song (Sing Me). His next song was, 'Soul Provider', a Michael Bolton song. The final song in Danny's first set was a Stylistics song, ‘Bet You By Golly Wow'. A great finish to a great set. Well done Danny, It was lovely to see Danny's mum in Glasshoughton Club tonight...
