A change of artiste at Crofton WMC tonight, it's a four piece band called, VIVA ROCK AND ROLL, a new one on me. Bass guitar, Lead guitar. Drums and Keyboards. The sound is good, some nice harmonies, some songs were, Neil Sedaka's, 'Oh Carol', Buddy Holly's, 'True Love Ways', another Sedaka song, 'Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen', 'Yakity Yak', the first set ended with a 'Queen number, 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'.

Westgate Common was busy again tonight; on stage was a duo called, 'CRUNCH', Phil and Clair. They looked good in their stage wear, the sound equipment and lights are very good. We arrived as they were singing the Alannah Myles song, 'Black Velvet', followed by a Tina Turner song, 'Steamy Windows'. This was the first time they had sung this song in public, it went down well too. There was Elton John's 'I'm Still Standing', the set finished with Heart's, 'Alone', one of my all time favourites.
The last set opened with a Blondie hit 'Call Me', then it was Lady Ga Ga’s, 'The Edge Of Glory', and yes, the dancers were on the floor. More of their songs were, Status Quo','Rocking All Over The World', (That made Pat smile), more songs in the set were 'Spirit In The Sky’ a big hit for Norman Greenbaum, Soft Cell's, 'Tainted Love', a super guitar solo in this one Phil. There were many more songs from this fine duo. CRUNCH. For an encore they sang, The Kings Of Leon's, 'SEX ON FIRE'. I loved the Dakota song, 'You Make Me Feel Like The One', that was brilliant. Yes folks. a smashing show from two lovely people.
