Tonight Pat and I went to see a new Boy Band at St Margaret’s Church Hall in Bramley, Leeds. LS ONE is the name, a very impressive 3 piece boy band; in the band are Steven Dickinson, Tom Robinson and a newcomer in the boy band world, one Lee Lambert. Three terrific voices, note perfect harmonies, the dance moves and the sound equipment, ‘all first class’. I remember Steven from another band called DIESEL. Remember those lads? We got there for the second set; the opening song in the second set was, well just terrific. The stage outfits were excellent, like the shoes. The sound and lights, so impressive. (I know I said that already). The show tonight was a thank you for the use of the St Margaret’s hall for practising. There was a donation for the Church which raised a nice tidy sum of money.
I deliberately haven't named the songs in the order they were performed; needless to say it was a superb mix and they covered lots of songs that I have heard from other Boy Bands and in some cases better performed, look out for this fresh from the world of music. Some of the songs we heard were, Bruno Mars, ‘LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN; O'JAYS, 'LOVE TRAIN', The Temptations, ‘SUGAR PIE HONEY BUNCH’, The Drifters, ’SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES’, Chubby Checker’s, ‘THE TWIST’, Olly Murs’ ‘DANCE WITH ME TONIGHT’, Another by Olly Murs.‘TROUBLEMAKER’,The Killers, ‘HUMAN’ and Ceelo Green’s, ‘FORGET YOU’. A very good selection that the audience enjoyed. Pat and I did too.
A big THANK YOU to Helen Marie who was there earlier programming the sound and lights; well she is quite the expert.
It was good to see some faces I hadn't seen for a long time, Glen Lea, Helen Caitlin Bailey Firth, Sam Webster, (Lee Lambert's sister) and quite a few people who came up to me who knew me from the Blackpool Command Shows.
