Off I go to Featherstone Green Lane WM tonight the show is a
showcase for, 'The Wakefield Area Concert Secretaries Federation.
The compere tonight is the lovely, Madeleine Roberts. She
introduced the first act, 'Lanie Brown' who looked stunning in
a long silver sequinned evening dress, like the shoes. Lainie
opened her part of the show with, Carol King's, 'You Make Me
Feel Like A Natural Woman'. Loved it; 'Be My Baby', came next.
The voice is excellent and she has a good range. Another song
that I didn't know the title of, was 'All bout That Base', a Meghan Trainor song, I do know it goes well in the clubs. 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody', a Whitney Houston hit from the 80's. Lots more from this young lady. Her agent is Angle Entertainments.
Next up was one fresh to the clubs, was Elisha Nicole, She loked good in a short dress, like the shoes. Elisha has a nice voice and went down well with the crowd. The next song was a Lady Gaga song, 'The Edge Of Glory'. There was much more from her, Connie Francis and Cher were featured. I'm sure we'll be seeing her in our clubs in the not too distant future and I think she will be ok... Elisha's agent is, Apple Entertainments.
Maddie came back on stage and sang, 'Wicked Game', a Chris Isaac song. What a lovely voice and good use of the stage. She introduced the next act, Peter Binns, better known as Daddy Cool, he sings a Motown Show. He was dressed smartly, like the shoes his opening song was, 'Everybody Needs Somebody To Love', a terrific opener, then, 'Gimme Some Loving'. 'Shake A Tail Feather', this guy is, 'Good'. His repertoire includes Soul, Motown and he also does an Elvis Tribute Show and Tom Jones songs, In fact he sang a Tom Jones song, 'Fall In Love'. There was a medley of songs. He has many more songs up his sleeve and knows how to entertain. His last song was an Edwin Starr song, Well done Daddy 'Peter Binns' Cool.
Peter is a freelance artiste and you can contact him on 01132 175513' or on Face Book, DADDYCOOL,
Mirror Image was the next act, sisters, Paige and Nikita, both dressed in short dresses, like the shoes, nice voices and tight harmonies. The first song was, 'Da Do Ron Ron'. 'Proud Mary', in harmony, This was followed by, Ghost', 'Rude' and 'Stay'.
Alan from Apple will be looking after these girls.
The final act of the night was the New Jersey Trio who play rock music but not to deafen anyone; their first song was, 'Jump', three brilliant musicians who are dressed for the stage. The next song was, Steve Harley's, Make Me Smile,(Come Up And See', Me Good harmonies from the guys. There were more but all excellent. The last one I heard was one by Journey, 'Who's Crying Now'. Loved this one. This band, 'NEW JERSEY TRIO' is represented by Angle Entertainments...
