The Queens Arms pub on Denby Dale Road in Wakefield was my first visit. The entertainment tonight was a young lady from Chesterfield, Rachel Louise'. She was dressed in a knee length black dress, like the shoes, she opened her show with, 'Be My Baby', a hit by the 'Ronettes', wow! Rachel has a lovely voice. Her second song was, 'I Need You Now'. a Lady Antebellum song, this was terrific. Rachel has a wide range of songs, songs; there was, ‘Just The way You Are’, by Bruno Mars, I liked Rachel's version of Gary Barlow's, 'Let Me Go', the next song is her agent Paul's favourite, 'Manic Monday', one by the Bangles. 'To Make You Feel My Love', you don't need me to tell you who recorded this one. There were many more in this 45 minute set. The pool players even stopped during their game to listen. More songs were songs from the Foundations, Billy Ocean, The Shirelles, Abba. Yes folks this young lady is a good 'un. One I liked was, 'I Won't Give Up', a song by Jason Mraz, a new one on me. Rachel Louise finished the first set with, 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me'. A classic Dusty Springfield hit song. well done Rachel Louise...
