Was That Adele In Leeds?
The place was Crossgates WMC, Leeds and there were two tribute
acts on show. Jason Taylor was the compere who himself has an amazing voice with
a good range. Tonight he was sing swing numbers; he is well known for Soul and
Motown. He introduced the first ‘Tribute’ act who was Tristan Drew who was, Olly
Murs. His appearance was very close to the man, the sound of the man and his
songs. He sang, ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’, Thinking Of You and many others. A
great set from Tristan. This was the best I have ever heard him sing; very clear
in every aspect of his performance.
Next was Leanne Taylor who tonight was, ‘Adele’, she looked very
much like the lady herself, the voice was pretty close too. The opening was
excellent with an overture of, ‘Home Town Glory’. ‘Adele appeared on stage
singing, ‘I’ll Be Waiting’, followed by many of her songs, (Most of which were
new to me but enjoyable). The two that were very familiar to me were, ‘Make You
Feel My Love’ and ‘Someone Like You’. There were lots of Adele’s songs from
the albums, 19 and 21 for all the fans. The Adele and Olly Murs tribute shows
can be booked both these two great shows through the Al Crossland Agency in
Leeds…0113 2940 824.
The sound and the lights were provided by, ‘Clubland Lighting
And Sounds Systems ‘. You can get in touch on 01924 400 700.
