Pocket Rocket Hits Ferrybridge Progressive Club.
Paul looked his usual immaculate self in trousers, white shirt, tie and waistcoat, like the shoes, He carries good sound and lights equipment. Paul opened his set with an Elton John song, 'I'm Still Standing' then one by Erasure, there was Bryan Hyland's 'Sealed With A Kiss'; Paul sings this really well, one I used to sing
with the Dean Stanton Four back in the early 1960's. West life's, 'Taking The Easy Way Out'. There's a few different songs in Paul's songs first set tonight. I'm not going to name them all, it'll be a surprise when you see him next. The Drifters were featured with a couple of their songs, a very popular choice with the members; Gary Barlow's latest, 'Let Me Go'. The Pocket Rocket ended the set with Robbie Williams hit, 'Angels'. Well done, THE POCKET ROCKET...
The Nash was my next call, on stage was a guy from the Manchester area, called
Steve Hayles, He has a good voice, he was on stage in trendy clothes, Steve has a
good strong voice, a couple of songs were, 'Back To Black', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', I heard only a short part of his set but what I did hear was pretty good. The last song was Passengers, 'Let Her Go', another new one on me but it was quite good....
