Ruth Stanford At Hopetown
WMC..
I have seen this young lady’s name around for a while now so I decided to go and see her on stage. She was on stage at Hopetown WMC in Normanton near Castleford on Sunday night singing to a near full house. Ruth has a wonderful and powerful voice; she looked great in her stage outfit, A glittering top over smart black trousers.(Loved the shoes). She was accompanied by Mick on Organ and Pete on drums. Ruth opened her second spot with a lovely rendition of, ‘The Rose’, the backing for this was terrific. She also sang, Emile Ford and the Checkmates version‘What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For’ in which the audience was encouraged to sing along. I loved her version of ‘I Fall To Pieces’. Ruth Stanford Is a good ’un. Mr T has spoken..
