The George Vth club in Castleford was pretty busy tonight; on stage was the band 'The Primates', this is a four piece band, on lead vocals it’s Craig who has an excellent voice and in my opinion would also be a good soul singer, on bass and vocals it’s Alan; (He is the image of ‘Craig Charles’, of Red Dwarf fame. On lead guitar it’s Paul, a good ‘un and on drums is Jan,(Pronounced Yan). A mighty fine drummer. The band has a great sound and lights system operated by their own technician. Some of the songs I heard were, ‘I Fought The Law - The Clash,Teenage Kicks - The Undertones, My Perfect Cousin -The Undertones, Message in a Bottle -The Police, Eaton Rifles - The Jam, 68 Guns - The Alarm, My Sharona -The Knack, 'Just What I Needed', - The Cars, 'I Got You', - Split Enz. A very good band, go and see, “The Primates"...
