There was quite a good attendance at East Dene Club in Barnsly on Thursday when Top Duo, 'Red Rocks' , 'Leon',who is half of the duo 'Riser' and that energetic duo, 'Freshly Squeezed' was the top class entertainment. By the time I arrived after being at another event, Red Rocks had done their usual excellent show and on stage was 'Leon', one half of Riser who was doing a fabulous Neil Diamond set. In fact he is booked to appear at Barnsley Civic hall on Saturday 11th June with his, "America", The Diamond Experience. I can tell you that having heard just a few of his Neil Diamond songs, 'America', 'Forever In Blue Jeans', 'Crakling Rosie' and lots more of the, 'Neil Diamond ' hits, you are in for a real treat. Unfortunately Scott, the other half of Riser had an arm injury and was unable to perform on the night which is a pity, I was looking forward to seeing them.
'Freshley Squeezed', that's Little Sam and Kim Brodie, were in fine form; the dance floor was very busy as they went into their set. Do you know, he was there again? Harry Potter who was collecting the empty glasses. The amount raised on the night for the 'Land Of Smiles' Charity was in excess of £800.
