Dean Alexander In Crigglestone…
I have been waiting for some time to catch up with Cambridge singer, Dean Alexander after seeing him some months ago in Brookhouse Club. Well I saw he was appearing at Crigglestone wmc on Sunday night; I make no apologies for going to Crigglestone again. Dean appeared on stage in a dark grey and very shiny suit and a white shirt with a blue sparkly tie. LTS, (patent), he has a good PA and a superb personality He opened his set with a Four Seasons song, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ in a well controlled falsetto voice followed by a clubland favourite, David Alexander's version of, ‘The Answer‘. More of Dean’s songs were, ‘Runaway’, ‘Just The Way You Are’ and a Stylistics song in two voices, ‘You Make Me Feel Brand New’. He finished the set with a superb version of ‘Nessum Dorma… What a voice and what an excellent performance… Dean Alexander…
Seaside Rendezvous Rock Alverthorpe.
Rock with laughter I mean; this duo from the Barnsley area are Donna and Jeff, two superb singers and comedians. The members were thoroughly enjoying the jokes and the digs, (In a light hearted way) at the audience. As usual I don’t repeat their jokes but I can tell you some of the songs they sang, ‘Cold As Ice’, ‘The Snake’, She Was My Girl’ and a fantastic version of ‘The Prayer’ which Donna sang… there were lots more songs in the dance set and the dance floor was in good use… If you haven't already seen them, Check out, 'Seaside Rendezvous'…
