Albion Club, (The Nash), Castleford, Welcomes Si Sonata.
The club was very busy tonight despite the weather; the tap room was full and so was the concert room. On stage was a man I was seeing for the first time, Si Sonata who comes from Doncaster. He was very smart in a black suit and a bright red shirt. (Lts, they were black patent leather). Si has an impressive sound system and excellent lights. He opened his set with, ‘It’s Wonderful’ followed by Queen’s, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. I like the music running quietly in the back ground when he introduced his songs, it then built in volume to bring in the intro of the next song which was the Edison Lighthouse song, ‘Love Grows’, more of Si’s songs inclded a Dean Martin medley and a Neil Diamond song. I was very impressed with the humour rather than jokes. Well done ‘Si Sonata’.
