The Admiral Duncan, (100 Thornes Lane, Wakefield, WF2 7QX), was busy last night. The band there was Wakefield’s own’ Scratch Band’. They were in great form, the sound was good and there were lots of new songs in their show. The musicians in this band are well seasoned professionals. Stuart on bass and lead vocals, Steve on guitar and vocals, Mick also on guitar and vocals, Greg on guitars, (Rhythm and Bass) and vocals and
Martin on drums and vocals. Mick Linskey is on sound and occasional vocals, guitar and harmonica. The harmonies are excellent and their all round equipment is top class; an excellent band… It was good to see volunteers like, Ginner, (Bring It On Home) and Stan The Man who sang, 'Take It Easy'.
See the Scratchmarks date sheet below…
I would recommend this band for most venues and occasions… Last night I heard songs by Queen, Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, (Not the one I like best though), Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, The Beatles and Pat’s favourite band… (In capitals)... STATUS QUO. A super show from, “THE SCRATCH
BAND”…
