Willow Park Social Club Auditions. There were just three acts auditioning
tonight at the Ricky Graham Auditions night. first up was guitar vocalist, Andy Wilson. He was dressed very smartly, has good sound his voice is quite good. The songs he sang were mainly from the 1960's. One of the songs was, 'Babylon'. Andy is quite good on guitar. The songs were easy to listen to. He finished his set with The Mavericks, 'Dance The Night Away'. A Little Help From My Friends'. a Joe Cocker song
It was great to see the lovely Emily Peters here in the club Emily will be singing
abroad again in the next couple of weeks; have a good time Emily.
Aftershock Duo.
Natalie and Kim are the two that who make up the duo, ‘Aftershock’, a duo I
met last year in Horbury Wmc. They were dressed in black outfit, like the shoes,
two excellent voices, stage presentation, good equipment and excellent choreography.Their first song was, 'Heaven Is A Place On Earth’, this included some very good harmonies. There was a Jessie J song, 'Price Tag'.
I liked Aftershock's version of Amy Winehouse's, 'Back To Black', great harmonies in this one. Another one new to me was 'Titanium', by 'David Guetta' was the next song. One for the dancers, ‘Don’t Worry 'Bout A Thing'. Well done girls. 'Rolling In The Deep and, 'We Built This City' finished their impressive set.
The final act was a lovely young lady from Wakefield, Terri Ann is the name.
She looks lovely in a short checked dress, like the shoes. Kerri Ann has a lovely
voice, a lovely controlled vibrato. Her first song was a James Brown song,
'This Is A Man's World', a Beatles song, 'Come Together'. Another new one on me. (I must be getting old)... was Happy'.Terri Ann has a great voice and unusual too. 'Make You Feel My Love'.One from Emeli Sande 'Read All About It'. There were many more from Terri Ann. I was very impressed with her voice and stage presentation. Well done Terri Ann.
