Audition night at Willow Park WMC. Not many in the club tonight and only two acts auditioned tonight. First up was Traci Lane from Morley, Traci has been around a few years and still has great voice and a super personality. She is always well dressed for the stage; black trousers and a black sequinned top. (Lts). Traci's first song was The Who’s ‘Substitute’. an Elkie Brooks song, 'Pearls A Singer. An excellent voice, very clear and a good pitch. There was a song by Labi Siffrie’s, 'Something Inside So Strong’, ‘Stuck In The Middle', The Louise version, 'Ooh Ah Just A little Bit More', sung by Gina G in the Eurovision Song Contest a few years ago. Traci finished her set with her own favourite, ‘A Good Looking Woman'.
The next act was a trio of young ladies called, ‘The Melodies’, Charlotte, Sophie and Emily make up the trio, lovely looking girls, (Don't tell Pat). The girls looked good in matching short blue dresses, (Lts). They'd opened with, Sushi's, ‘Come See About Me', Aretha Franklin's, 'Say A Little Prayer', The Ronettes, 'Be My Baby', some lovely harmonies and good choreography. 'Young Hearts Run Free'. 'Proud Mary', Tina Turner Style. I just loved the harmonies. A Take That song was, 'Rule The World'. The melodies sang a few slower songs. Well only two acts but the people who were there enjoyed both acts, and so did I.
