Ricky Graham Leisure Auditions…
Willow Park Social club started quiet but soon there were more people to see the five acts who were her for an audition; first was Hull singer Brian G. Brian was dressed quite smartly on stage; his PA is ok and he sang songs from the 50’s and 60’s. There was a Billy Fury Medley, A couple of Cliff Richard songs, Bobby Darin’s ‘Dream Lover’ was the one I liked best.

Next was a young lady from Dewsbury called, Lauren. She has a lovely voice and looked good dressed casually. She has a good strong PA which could have been turned a little louder but hey, Lauren did a great job. She sang in her set, ‘Rose Garden’, (I loved that one), ‘I’ll Stand By You’, ‘Like a Prayer’ and ‘You Can’t Hurry Love ‘Brilliant Lauren...

Our next auditionee was Natasha Boseley from Rothwell; she has an excellent voice, looked good in her stage outfit and has a good sound. An Emile Sande song, ‘Next To Me’, ‘My Girl’, Cold Play’s, ‘Yellow’and a Queen number, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’. Well done Natasha’’…

Wild Thing has a very unusual voice. Her stage movement are, wild, but she can sing. A few of her songs were a slow version of ‘Hungry Eyes’,‘China In Your Hands’ and Cher’s, ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’. An excellent set…

The Last The last but not least act was Vince Berry from Ossett; Vince has been around for a few years now; he has a good PA, (Brand New), he was dressed smartly on stage; he has a strong voice and sang songs from yester year, ‘I Understand’ By Freddie And The Dreamers’, ‘Someone Someone’ from Brian Poole And the Tremeloes. There were lots more oldies from Vince. Well done that man...
