Lupset Lodge welcomed Kate Kinson.
This young lady from Hull, was the artiste on Saturday night, there were a good few in when I arrived; Kate was wearing a floral dress over black tights, she has a good voice. The first song was by The Foundation's, 'Build Me Up Buttercup'. Next was, ‘I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For'. Kate's sound equipment is good. Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac songs were featured, (Tell Me Lies). Yes. Good singer and Entertainer.
Over to Horbury WMC to see, 'Red Rocks', this duo is one of the very best duo’s on the club circuit today. In the duo are Helen Marie and Steve who are really good with the harmonies. Two great voices too, 'Since You've Been Gone', a Guns And Roses song,'Sweet Child Of Mine', a Journey medley, ‘Don’t Stop Believing', 'Who's Crying Now'. Red Rocks have a great sound system operated from the stage tonight, I loved their version of, 'The Living Years', A Mike And The Mechanics song; Red Rocks ended their second set with a Meatloaf song, 'A Bat Out Of Hell', another great set from Red Rocks.
The Admiral Duncan was my last stop where the harmony band Vinyl Legacy was playing music that I like. The first song was a Strawbs song, 'Lay Down'. The band, is, Trevor Midgley, Trevor Sergeant, John, Norman and
Mick on drums was in fine form. There were some Eagles numbers 'Lying Eyes', 'Take It Easy', A Kinks song 'Tired Of Waiting', I like the way this band sings 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain'. another Kinks song was 'You Really Got Me'. And many more.
Next week at The Admiral Duncan, it's, ‘The Solicitors’ on Friday, 29th.. the very popular 'Bitchcraft', is on Saturday the 30th November.
“And The bar prices HAVE been lowered”.
