Horbury WMC Was on the quiet side tonight, (Saturday), lots of members on holiday with the schools going back next week. The artiste tonight is, 'Beebi Del', a lady I admire very much. Earlier this year she appeared in the Blackpool Command show in, yes, Blackpool. Beebi opened her show with a country song called 'Silver Threads And Golden Needles', this was followed by, 'When You Tell Me That You Love Me'. What a lovely voice she has. Her stage attire is a long bluish and silver sequinned evening dress. Beebi is going to see, ‘Take That’. next week so got herself in the mood by singing one of their songs, 'Could It Be Magic', it went down well with the members. Her next song was, 'Black Velvet', an Alannah Myles hit from a few years ago. I liked Beebi's version of a Kathy Kirby hit, again from a few years ago, 'Secret Love', this is a brilliant song and Beebi sang it really well. An Olivia Newton John song Xanadu was the next song which was great hit in the aforementioned Blackpool Command show, thank you Beebi. She followed this with another by the same lady, 'Hopelessly Devoted To You'. 'I Will Always Love You', first recorded by, Dolly Parton who also wrote the song. What a lovely set from, BEEBI DEL.

Alverthorpe Wmc was busy when we arrived tonight. On stage was the lovely duo, Viva who are based in Bentley nr Doncaster; the line up is vocalist Lena and on keyboards it's Gavin. We arrived just in time for the final set. They opened with, Lady Gaga's, 'Born This Way', Lena's voice really suits the song. The backing is very good; Gavin knows his way around the keys. The next song was one by Pink called, 'Alone And Lonely', (I think), let's see what's next, 'I Just Can't Get Enough', there was one called, 'Jump For My Love' . There were lots more, well it was the dance set. Pat and I sat and listened and enjoyed the show; two great voices, top harmonies and Gavin's music was just superb.. That's Viva folks..
Gavin told me that he and Lena are setting up a new project with a six piece fully live band called Hysteria. I wish them all the very best.
