Margo Mania Summer Show...
I must confess I had never heard of Margo Mania until last night; I was asked to go and see the show at Pontefract’s Ex Servicemen’s club; well the place was packed and after a short while I could understand why. Margo is a lady who has brought together 50 or so people and moulded them into a highly entertaining show group. On stage when I arrived was a band of people who were singing the songs of pop band Darts; very impressive. There were scenes of The Glee, Girls Aloud, Olly Murrs, Pink, Bay
City Rollers, Michael Jackson (This was brilliant), Dexy’s Midnight Runners, (Come on Eileen), Lillie Allen, beautiful South. There were lots more AND yes, they were miming but, Hey, who cares, that didn’t take away the entertainment factor. They have their own sound and lights man, Stuart, who was kept on his toes and came through doing a great job. He band that was on stage with the Michael Jackson scene was hilarious; Bobby Boris Picket And The Crypt Kickers who performed, ‘The Monster Mash’. Brilliant Margo, the costumes are top class.
This group, led by Margo, has staged Children’s shows too and another Adult one. Both are scheduled for later in the year at the Ex Servicemen’s club. When I get the actual date I will post the dates. As soon as they are published you will need to literally get your tickets. I would guess that two of each show will be needed to satisfy
demand..
Just a few pictures from Margo's shows...
