Glasshoughton WMC was busy tonight despite the heavy rain. I think everyone had come in for shelter. The artiste on stage tonight was a young lady I had seen before but had to look twice. It was Debbie Jane dressed in a short multi coloured dress, like the shoes. I saw her a few months ago in Morley WMC. Well her appearance is totally different and she has more songs in her repertoire. Debby Jayne opened her show with a Ben E King song, ‘Stand By Me’, a good opener too. She followed up with a Beatles favourite, ‘Ticket To Ride’, multi coloured dress, Like The Shoes. Debbie Jayne has a good strong voice and chose the songs that suited. One of her songs I hadn’t heard for a while was a Lynne Anderson song, ‘Rose Garden. There were songs by, Bonnie Tyler, Cher and Amy Winehouse, in fact she sang one of the Winehouse songs, ‘Back To Black’ and finished the set with an Adele song, ‘Someone Like You’. A good set from Debbie Jayne.
