Tonight In Glasshoughton Wmc.
Another first for me, the artiste on stage is Motown and sixties singer, Stevie, all the way from Rotherham. Wow, what a strong voice, he opened his set with, 'The Love I Lost', that was a Harold Melville And The Blue Notes song. A Blues brothers hit. 'Shake A Tail Feather', a Nat King Cole favourite, 'Let There Be Love', The Monkees song, 'I'm A Believer'. From the 60s was Bobby Darin's, 'La Mer', (Beyond The Sea). I like this guy, he has an infectious smile and seems to enjoy his job on stage. I liked his version of Lionel Ritchie's 'All Night Long', after singing Happy Birthday for two ladies in the room he sang Elvis's, 'The Wonder Of You'. The final song in Steve's set was, 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', a Queen song that had the crowd singing along. There were some dancers up on the floor for Steve's first set. Well done that man...
