'Sasha T' In T' George Vth.
This is a lady who just loves to sing and dance:
tonight Tracy was in great form and looked a million dollars.(that is £668,762.00 English pounds you know) in her stage wear, a short blue sparkly dress; like the shoes. This lady always enjoys herself on the stage. In the set I saw tonight Sasha sang, 'Heaven Is A Place On Earth', Sasha has a lovely voice and a good choice of songs. One by Queen, 'These Are The Days'. You don't hear this very often, like it. More of Sasha's songs were the songs of Elvis. During the Elvis song the assistant concert secretary Jeff gave an Elvis dance demonstration, there was Da do Ron Ron. A Crystals hit from the 60's. Another from the 60s, 'Then He Kissed Me', a Kylie Minogue, 'On A Night Like This', there was an Yvonne Ellerman. The Corrs and a couple more, a super performance from Sasha ‘T’.
At this club, George Vth, the artiste starts at 8-15 pm for a 30 minutes set and back on stage approximately 9-45 for a 45 minutes set including encores.
After that it's bingo until around 10 - 45' then it's time for people to go for their buses.
My second call was In The Prince Of Wales, Pontefract Wmc.
There I saw a man I saw in a recent Charity Show. Jon Dean was looking after the sound that night. Well tonight I got a call from Alan Pilborough. I met up with him and his lovely wife, Colleen along with Brian Cliff, in the Prince Of Wales WMC where John Dean was singing. He opened his set with a Meatloaf hit, 'Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad'. One from Journey, 'Don't Stop Believing'. As always John was very smart on stage. One by Aerosmith, 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing', there was an up tempo version of 'Fields Of Athenry', Jon closed the set with another from Meatloaf. There were quite a few young rockers in the concert room who really enjoyed Jon's music as we all did.
Whilst I was in the Prince Of Wales Club, I was informed by Brian Cliff and Alan Pilborough that ALL tickets for the Blackpool Command Show have been sold...
