None Stop Action With Lee Lambert…
The Common Road WMC in South Kirkby, near Pontefract was our first stop last night. The club has had a major re-fit since we were last here. Although it wasn’t very busy at 8 – 30pm, there were quite a good few came in later.
On stage was that young singer from Leeds, (Morley to be exact), Lee Lambert. Lee looked immaculate in a suit, shirt and tie and Those Shoes… Wow! (Lts). Lee has a terrific voice, personality and range of songs to suit all ages. He opened his first set with a Beatles medley followed by a song from the Overtones. Lee certainly kept the members interested! They loved him. There a Tom Jones song that everyone just loved, ‘Sex Bomb’. Garth Brookes, Edith Piaf, Celo Green, Take That’s ‘Pray’. Leanne Disney, The Corrs and many more singers were featured.
I particularly liked Lee’s version of Edith Piaf’s, ‘If You Love Me’. What a performer … Lee Lambert.
Last night Lee’s parents, Dave and Debbie along with his friends, Tina and Jessica were getting texts and twitters because Lee was on Television on the X Factor Extra show. I saw it this morning and saw a very confident young man. The show will be repeated tonight! Don’t miss it…
