Top Marks In The B&S
The B&S Club was very busy tonight: on stage were two great entertainers, Top Marks, they were wearing matching suits, like the shoes. I arrived part way into their first set; they were singing a Motown medley. The dance moves and Choreography was good. It's been some time since I heard these guys. They closed the set with a ballad, Billy Joel's, 'The Piano Man', brilliant guys. I really must catch up with Top Marks for a full set.
Pocket Rocket In Ladybalk Social Club.
On to Lady Balk Social Club, where I saw a guy the same size as me, Pocket Rocket, he also looked very smart on stage and yes, like the shoes. Pocket Rocket, (Herein after called Paul), opened his second set with 'Let Me Go', one from Gary Barlow, brilliant Paul. the lights are superb, the tracks equally so, coming up was a Motown song, 'There Goes My First Love', one from the Drifters, yes Paul the people in here were thoroughly enjoying the entertainment. A member of the audience, Ted, joined in an Elvis song, 'The Wonder Of You', in fact Fred sang most of the song. Malcolm Cunningham gave us a short dancing demonstration, he's good at that you know. Next was a song by Erasure, 'Give A Little Respect', lots more followed, lots of hilarious comedy between Malcolm and Paul, just enjoying Paul's show. Red Red Wine' was his next song, I love Reggae music and Paul makes a good job of it. He closed the set with a Robbie Williams song, 'She's The One'.
