Tonight I will be in the Albion Street WMC, The act tonight is the glamorous, Beebi Del. this lady is class. She has a tremendous voice and sings songs of different genres. Her stage outfits are beautiful too, just like the lady. herself. Like the shoes, Her opening song tonight was a country song, 'Silver Threads And Golden Needles', I loved the next song, 'Save The Best 'Til Last', A Vanessa Williams song and beautifully sung by this lady. I could listen to Bebe all night but I have to be somewhere after her set. There were songs from Diana Ross, Olivia Newton John, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, this is the first time I've heard Beebi sing this particular song. 'Back Woods Barbie'. There was Song written by Dolly Parton and recorded by Whitney Houston, 'I Will Always Love You', she concluded the set with a Shirley Bassey song, 'Big Spender'.
A packed house again at Westgate Common, Sarah Gayle Meech was the Star on stage with her band, The UK Meech Boys, that's Simon Brady on guitar, mandolin and vocals, Jim Hand I bass and vocals, Barry Gaskell on pedal steel guitar with Frank Stewart on drums. A brilliant set up too. Sarah is all the way from Nashville, wow she has a terrific voice. She is the best Female Outlaw at American Awards, Austin which is run by Dale Watson. A lovely sound emanated from the stage. Well now, I didn't know many of the songs. The harmonies are excellent. There was a Buck Owens song, 'Loves Gonna Live Here Again'. 'You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man'. One I know was, 'A Good Hearted Woman', there was a Patsy Cline song, 'I Fall To Pieces', I picked up on a couple more, 'Stormy Weather', 'Love Of Mine', there were many more, if you haven't seen / heard this lady and her band, I urge you to look out for her. That's Sarah Gayle Meech.
