Westgate Common Club was fairly busy tonight, (Friday 29th November). On stage was 'Sir Cliff Richard)' not the real one you understand but John Mycroft one of club lands outstanding entertainers. Obviously he sang the songs of SCR. He looked the part and the voice, yep, pretty close. The lights show was, or is, nothing short of Spectacular. John is a wizard with technology; lights sound and anything else you can think of, John's your man. A great silver grey suit, sparkly shirt and tie. Like the shoes.
He opened his show with some of the early songs that most people remember, 'Move It'. 'Summer Holiday', 'Living Doll'. 'Gee Whiz It's You', is one you don't hear very often; everyone knows, 'The Young Ones', well the audience was singing long to it. A country song came next, 'Travelling Light', 'When The Girl In Your Arms Is The Girl In Your Heart', pause for a rest after that title. On to 'Bachelor Boy'.there were of course many more, a really good show from, John Mycroft. One last thing, a good show well presented, "Congratulations John Mycroft". ..
