Harry (Simply H) Is A Great Hit At The Red Lion.
Pat and I called in at a busy Red Lion on Wakefield road, Ossett on Saturday night where we saw a great friend of ours, Simply ‘H’. The pub is trimmed up ready for St Georges Day, April 23rd which is on Monday; it also happens to be our eldest daughter Susan’s birthday, (Shall I say how many Susan, No? Well she is over 21). Harry was in great voice as he sang the sings from the 50’s and 60’s with a little Motown added in. There were the songs of Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton, Eddie Arnold, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly and one from the archives; Love Letters was an Elvis Presley song in 1966 but a lady called Ketty Lester recorded this in 1962. What a great night with Simply H... Pictured below is Harry and on the right it's Suzy, a real bundle of fun who lives in the pub; Suzy sang 'Any Dream Will Do' in a duet with Harry, (Simply H)... A smashing night of entertainment...
