Monday At Glasshoughton WMC.
Tonight at Glasshoughton WMC on Leeds road Castleford I saw Jonathan Bennett, a good young singer who has been on the circuit for around 4 years or so. The club was fairly busy; there was rugby on the television in the lounge and a pool match in the games room. Jonathan appeared on stage in a very smart suit, shirt and tie. He carries good equipment and knows how to use it. He opened his first set with Van Morrison’s, ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ this went down well with the members. There were Ricky Nelson songs, The Drifters, Sam Cooke, The Thymes and many more. For me on the night Jonathan’s best song was the Kenny Rogers song, ‘She Believes In Me’. He put lots of feeling in that one.Yes Jonathan Bennett is a well dressed, very good singer and very polite...
