John Fitzpatrick at Glasshoughton WMC.
The weather was very unkind tonight, (It was pi.. it was raining heavily and affected the attendance for the early part of the night but soon filled up a bit later on. John was immaculate on stage, a good sound and a good choice of songs. John opened his first set with a Matt Monro song called, ‘How Do You Do’ sung whilst walking around the club and greeting the members and visitors. He sang the songs of Mark Wynter from 1962, ‘Venus In Blue Jeans’, Ringo Star’s, ‘You’re Sixteen’,. There were songs of Billy Fury, Elvis Presley, Eden Kane, Take That, Dave Edmunds and many more. John finished the night with a terrific rendition of Meatloaf’s ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ and a nice version of. ‘The Answer’. What an entertainer in John Fitzpatrick...
