Alverthorpe Start Friday Shows...
The first Friday show at Alverthorpe was a success for the club; on stage was the superb soft rock duo, ‘Roadhouse’. The club was quite busy; there were empty seats but not many. Roadhouse, with Neil on guitar and Rik on keyboards, two first class musicians were in fine form as they went through their sets. Songs and music from ‘Bryan Adams’,(The Summer Of ’69), ‘The Who’, (Pinball Wizard), ‘Status Quo’, (‘Rocking All Over The World’), ‘Gary Moore’, (Parisienne Walkway). I enjoyed Bon Jovi’s ‘Living On A Prayer. The play list seems endless covering most eras.
Make no mistake, Roadhouse appeal to all ages judging by the wide range in the club tonight.
Next week in contrast the artiste engaged is Louie Stephens, an excellent Soul and Motown singer.Be early, Louie is a very good artiste...
