Friday Night Out…
My first stop was in Castleford where I had saw a lovely looking lady called, ‘Ella J’, her stage outfit looked great, a multi coloured dress that glittered under the lights; (Lts). Ella’s presentation on stage is first class and she has a lovely voice. Her PA is good and she most certainly knows how to use it.
Some of her songs were by, ’Showaddwaddy, Diana Ross, Candy Staton, Mary Wells, The Dixie Chics and Lisa Stansfield. Quite a few different ones there. One I hadn’t heard for some time was a Lisa Stansfield song, ’Someday I’m Coming Back’, I loved that one. Well done Ella J…
Stop number two was at Ladybalk Club where the terrific Louise Webster was performing; this lady could entertain just about anywhere. Her voice is golden. She was in fine voice tonight; I liked her dress which I said was silver and black but Louise said it was Gold and black; well under the lights it looked silver,(Lts)Louise featured songs by, ’Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton and Luther Van Dross. Louise has recently released a CD called, ’Say The Word’ and tonight she sang it live for me. Magnificent . A good all round entertainer…
I dropped in at Brookhouse to see my friends, The Vinyl Legacy Harmony band; they were in full flow playing songs by, The Kinks, Elvis Presley,, Cliff
Richard and Shadows and many more. The dance floor was being put to good use tonight, well done Vinyl Legacy.
