The Nash was its usual busy night tonight, (Tuesday).
On stage was Katalina, looking fabulous in her stage outfit, I Like The Shoes. Her voice is strong and has a good range; her song choices were excellent. Some of these were the Noisettes,’Never Forget You’, Amy Winehouse’s, ‘Valerie’, Duffy’s, ‘Warwick Avenue’, Celo Green’s ‘Forget You’. 'Who Knew’, by Pink. 'Da Do Ron Ron’, a Crystals hit. Martha And The Vandellas, ‘Dancing In The Street’, then a medley of The Rolling Stones, Satisfaction, Manfred Mann’s, ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’, and closing her first set with 'Mony Mony',a Tommy James And The Shondelles hit, number 1 in 1968 ... It was good to see dancers so early into her first set. Katalina is part of the MadKatz duo along with Madeleine Roberts who was in the club tonight cheering her duo partner on...
Gilly's CMC was busy again tonight in Westgate Common Club. The duo on stage was the 'Carolann B Duo’. Carolann is on guitar and lead vocals with Alan Watkins on guitar and vocals. Their PA is a Bose with the tall pole style speakers. Nice voices, harmonies and live music. A few songs were, 'It Never Rains in California', 'Don’t Tell Me Your Lies', 'One More Day With You'. I enjoyed a Guy Mitchell song, 'Heartaches By The Number', (Showing my age now). There were lots of new songs, (to me), there was a John Aston composition, ‘Tell Me A Lie’, Buck Owens, ‘Crying Time’. There were some tracks; in some of the songs to fill in with bass and drums. The set was ended with,' That's What They Said About The Buffalo', I enjoyed the set I saw from the Carolann B Duo.
