Another full house in Castleford's Glasshoughton WMC.
The artiste tonight was Montego Bay,Jamaican singer, O'Brien Hesson, dressed immaculately in black. I first saw O'Brien at the Willows club at Ricky Graham Leisure auditions and ever since
has been very much in demand. I arrived just in time for the, BINGO, after which he opened his second set with Lionel Ritchie's, 'All Night Long', Kool And The Gang's,'Celebration Time'. Bob Marley And The Wailers 'Buffalo Soldiers'. He has a fine voice perfect for his style of music. The sound was terrific and no
speaker stands either. 'To Love Somebody', a Bee Gees song, (One of my all time favourites), 'What A Wonderful World', memories of the great Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong', Great stuff O'Brien. There was a Queen song, 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love',The 30 minutes set just flew by, I loved his music. There were a few more songs but I was lost in the music. He finished his set with a Motown medley, 'Love Train, Feel The Need, Working My Way Back To You', yes folks a superb set from O’Brien Hesson.
'Find The Joker',tonight was for £140, it was won last week by a lucky lady who scooped over £3,000. It was NOT won tonight...
See you next Monday then...
