Happy Birthday Melvin…
Melvyn Dunford was celebrating his 70thbirthday on Friday night in Horbury WMC, although he is actually 71 in a few days. Happy Birthday Melvyn. There was an Elvis tribute act on stage called Niall Southall. He was dressed in a silver jacket over black trousers and really looked the part. In his second set it was the white jump suit that one usually associates with Elvis Presley. Obviously the songs were as Elvis would sing them. One I hadn’t heard for soe time live on stage was Wooden Heart, before anyone says, ‘They All Do That’, its one "I" haven’t heard in a while. Others were, ‘One Night., ‘Blueberry Hill’ and ‘Devil In Disguise’. Nice show Niall…
Aimee Is Good.
A lovely young lady (with a very nice voice) called Aimee Good at only 13 years old gave us a few songs at Melvyn’s party. She looked great in a black sequined dress and LTS… Aimee sang three songs, ‘All That jazz’, ‘No One But You’ which is from a London Show and Freddie Mercury’s ‘Somebody To Love’, complete with the ‘Long’ note near the end which she held really well. A 'Good' one for the future… “Aimee Good’. She is well! Good...
