Westgate Common club was reasonably well attended tonight; on stage was a duo called 2 Toned a two guy duo; there was lots of comedy in their show, Ska music amongst other styles, a few songs were, 'Cecilia', 'Delilah', and 'Islands In The Stream'. One I liked that was performed in a cockney accent was, 'It Must Be Love'. The harmonies were good and the backing tracks were too. The stage wear was bizarre, one guy was dressed in Union Jack trousers and shoes to match, a black shirt and silver tie, like the shoes. Oh and red braces. The other was wearing zebra striped trousers, brown shoes, like the shoes, a black shirt his tie and braces, black and white squares, matched his outfit. A few more songs were, 'Viva Las Vegas', and a shortened version, (1line) of 'Pretty Woman'. An excellent and entertaining duo. Loved 'Em. 2 Toned. Would you believe they did sing Pretty Woman in a Roy Orbison medley. You just have to see this duo.

The Admiral Duncan was busy tonight; the band, Big Day has been here a few times before and are always a success; tonight was no different. A few songs were, 'Sit Down', Vertigo', 'When You Were Young', 'Gimme All Your Lovin', 'September', and 'Hotel California'. The band on January 20th is a new one to the Admiral Duncan, Saint Harlot. I'll find out who they are. I liked Big Day's, 'Chasing Cars' a Snow Patrol song. This is a good band who play and sing songs from all era's. A Stereophonics favourite was, 'Take A Look At Me Now'. And the final song was a John Fitzpatrick much requested song, 'SEX ON FIRE' what a finish.
