Lauren Faye Moss.... Appeared at a busy Lofthouse Gate WMC on Christmas Eve; as always she looked and sounded terrific. Dressed in a short pink dress, like the shoes. Lauren opened her show with, The Mary Wells song, 'My Guy'. The Shirelles, 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow', Carol King's, 'It Might As Well Rain 'Til September'. Lauren was in fine voice singing dongs from the '50's to the present day. The next song was one by 'The Specials', 'A Message To You Rudy', One from yesteryear,'Fly Me To The Moon'.
Lauren is also a tribute artiste and appears as, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Pink, Amy Winehouse, and her idol Barbara Streisand, her next song
was Madonna's 'Like A Virgin'. Pink's 'Get The Party Started'. An excellent
opening set from. Lauren Faye Moss..

Another busy club, Outwood WMC! On stage was Oliver Paige, immaculate in a silver grey suit a black suit, like the shoes, Oliver told me was wearing odd socks! The first song was 'Signed Delivered I'm Yours', I loved his version of 'The Impossible Dream'. Oliver was a resident singer in Tenerife until and apperared in a Tenerife reunion show at the Horse Vaults in Pontefract recently. More of his songs were, Edison Lighthouse's 'Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes', The Foundations, 'Baby Now That I've Found You'. Oliver certainly has a very good strong voice. There were dancers on this set. Next was Showaddywaddy's, 'Under The Moon Of Love'. Complete with 'choreography'. Oliver needed a rest after all the up tempo stuff so he sang a Hollies song, 'He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother'. He had the crowd singing along to the Monkees, 'I'm A Believer'. A
brilliant entertainer, Oliver Paige. His Barnsley accent went down really
well with the crowd...
Finally we called at Brookhouse club, yet another full house, the artiste was, The Ready Steady Show, a tribute to the 'Sixties'. The two guys in the duo are, Rob and Rob who both play guitars. The bass and drums are on backing tracks. Two pretty good voices. The first song was one by The Who song, 'My Generation'. A Rolling Stones song,'Get Off My Cloud', the Beatles were next in a medley. The Hollies 'Bus Stop', in another medley the in backdrop was a cartoon featuring, Andy Pandy and Pinky and Perky who appeared to be dancing to the sounds of the Hollies. More from the Rolling Stones, 'The Last Time', the Beatles in the earlier days when 'Jim Nichols' on drums, was next singing,'I Saw Her Standing There', There were lots more from the 60's. Another good night for Mr & Mrs T...
