MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE…
Horbury Club was very busy on Christmas Eve when we arrived at 8pm; the
artiste for the night was the beautiful, talented, ‘Danielle Grace Williams’.
she looked fabulous in a short turquoise dress and a diamante necklace, (Lts). Her sound system is excellent and she chose songs that most people liked. Some of those were, The Pointer Sisters, ‘I’m So Excited’, followed by, ‘Never Forget You’, a Mary Wells song ‘My Guy’. Danielle soon had the members singing along with her. There were the songs of The Ronettes, The Corrs, one from Dirty Dancing and the Louise version of, ‘Stuck In The Middle’.
It was great catching up with Danielle who I have known for a few years now and have seen her progress into the consummate professional she is today…
After Danielle’s first set, the Horbury Victoria Band came in and played a
few carols for us; there was a mystery singer in the room; we did discover his identity but will save his red face…
Our next stop was at yet another busy club, Earlsheaton Central where we saw our friends, Debbie and Tracy who together are, ‘Sassy’ an excellent duo. They looked great in their stage outfits and there were costume changes too. The sound system has been upgraded and it sounds great. Some of their songs were, ‘Blue Heaven Is A Place On Earth‘,(For Mr T), Tiffany’s, ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’, there were a couple of Billy Ocean songs and a nice Motown song, ‘Working My Way Back To You Love. Thank you for the mention ladies…
Our final call was in yet another busy club, 'Westgate Common' on our way home; on stage were two sisters, Charley and Elly who make up the duo, Just Us. Again, a good PA system, nice voices and harmonies and the stage wear was lovely. We only caught a few of their songs as it was late. They sang in the set we saw, Abba’s Does Your Mother Know’ and a well known Abba medley. They also sang, ‘Human‘, ‘Sex On Fire’, ‘Summer Of ‘69’ and ‘Human’. the sisters used the stage like professionals… Well done girls…
