The Wakefield, Pontefract & District Concert Secretaries Federation
Met for the monthly meeting at Horbury WMC tonight; Tuesday May 28th. The showcase after the meeting was compered by the lovely Madeleine Roberts who is half of the duo, Madkatz. She was wearing a pink dress adorned with silver chevrons, (Lts). Madeleine opened the show with a rousing, ‘Twisting The Night Away’.
Madeleine introduced Doncaster’s Nikki Marie. This young lady looked great in a short black and white skirt and blue top. Nikki has a lovely voice and sang in her set, ’Next To Me’ and ’The Edge of Glory’.
The next act was comedy vocalist, Gareth Lloyd from Coventry; he was very smart in a suit shirt and tie, (Pls). a couple of Gareth’s songs between the one liners were, ’Let’s get Together’ and ’I Just Haven’t Met You Yet’. A good set from Gareth and I’m sure we will see more of him.
After the raffle and the bingo, Madeleine opened the second half with, ’A Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ and went on to introduce Barnsley lady, Amelia Davis who was wearing a fishtail dress and a Sequined top, (Lts). Amelia has a fine voice and in her set she sang, ‘The Locomotion’ and ‘Beautiful Disaster’. Good set Amelia…
The final act was a male duo from Barnsley called Stardust. They came on
stage dressed in boy band style outfits, two good voices and some good
harmonies. They sang in their set which was the dance set, ’The Flood’ and a Drifters Medley. Some top harmonies in that too…
A show well held together by Madeliene Roberts... All artistes tonight were from the Al Crossland and Ocean Leisure agencies…
