Aga Do Do Do…
Sorry, I was getting carried away there; Dene and Ian who are 'Black Lace', appeared at the Lupset on Sunday afternoon playing to a full pub’ Dene and Ian were on form as they sang and joked their way though an hour’s performance singing all the Black Lace hits and 60’s medley’s; the songs of the Hollies and the Elderly Brothers, [Everley Brothers] featured. I liked the Jay and The Americans version of the song 'Cara Mia'.
After a short break, Peter joined the guys to make up Shoewaddywaddy. As you would expect they sang lots of the original band’s songs, ‘Moon Of Love’, ‘Three Steps To Heaven’, ‘Heart Beat’, 'Some Girls Will’ and a host of others. What a super way to spend Sunday afternoon and have your lunch there at the same time; prices very reasonable.
One other scoop from the Lupset; I often play the game,”Spot The Landlord” in some of the pubs I visit; well on this occasion I spotted, Mick McGinley collecting empty glasses. See the pictures below.
