Pat and I were invited by Dave and Donna, who run the Kirklands, to come and see a Rod Stewart Tribute show, which, we really enjoyed.
Rod Stewart is Gary Pease from Walsall. He was dressed. A La Rod Stewart which is always a good start to proceedings. His wife, Karen is a lovely lady and gives her full support she is the sound controller. Gary, (Rod Stewart), opened his show with, 'Hot Legs'. Coming up next is, 'Tonight's The Night'. The Rod Stewart is very close to the real thing. This next one is a favourite Rod Stewart song for me, 'You're In My Heart Your In My Soul'. There was quite a crowd here in The Kirklands Hotel, all loving the show. As you would expect, Gary was going well with all the songs with the crowd singing along. The one he is singing at the moment is, 'You Wear It Well'. There were many more but you probably know most of them. Suffice to say, a great show. There were songs from The Faces, for example, 'Stay With Me'. To close the set 'Rod' sang, 'Hand Bags And Gladrags', this is a popular song in lots of our clubs. Well done Gary, (Rod).
