Local For Us Tonight.. In fact more of a rare occasion, we went to Westgate Common WMC to see Comedienne, Christine Coles. First on though, opening the show was vocalist, Ricky Starr. He opened with, 'Signed Sealed Delivered I'm Yours', one of Stevie Wonder's hit songs. A good rousing opener, he followed on with songs from the likes of, The Drifters, Sammy Davis Junior, Bobby Darin and a few more. A good opening set Ricky Starr. After a couple of Bingo games, chairman Brian introduced, 'Christine Coles'.
I found a picture of Christine in the outfit she wore tonight; enough said. Christine opened her show with an Etta James song, 'I Just Wanna Make Love To You'. Not only a good comic but an excellent singer. Her comedy was really well timed and very funny, the crowd, (a full house), loved her.the jokes just flowed. No jokes here folks, you'll have to see Christine yourself. She closed he fully one hour set with a terrific blues song, 'Sweet Home Chicago, one by the Blues Brothers. What a voice, Christine Coles. Returning to the stage was Ricky Starr, looking very smart and the crowd loved his voice and choice of songs. Plenty of dance numbers, rock and roll , a couple of Gary Barlow songs to end the night with. An Brilliant night all round. Thank you to Christine Coles and Ricky Starr.
