Back From Holidays.
The Carcroft Village welcomed John Fitzpatrick on this very warm Tuesday night. Entertainment tonight was held in a very plush and comfortable lounge where it was very busy and it's Tuesday. The Mexican holiday must have been good, John’s voice was top notch as he sang his signature opener, Matt Monro's, 'How Do You Do', then came,'Heart To Heart', a song by James Blunt, More by Billy Joel. John and his lovely wife, Sharon came back with a lovely tan with a smidgen of white bits. Back to the show, John sang songs to suit the audience like the one he's singing now, Eden Kane's, 'Well I Ask You'. Plenty of comedy followed by a Neil Sedaka song, 'Calendar Girl', John closed his first set with David Alexander's, 'Working Man'.
In John's second set the ladies were poised to spring into action on the dance floor, (Carpet). Yes folks, it was dance time. John obliged with songs like John Paul Young's, 'Love Is In The Air' and, 'Human'. To use an old phrase, John went down the proverbial bomb. There was Gary Barlow's latest, and lots more. Well done Mr Fitzpatrick...
One more thing, then I'm through, (Nooo not that one), he sang the Hokey Cokey, to the delight of the members and the dancers.. The dance floor was really buzzing.
