Where Tonight? on Saturday March 15th... Ah yes, there's a band at Crigglestone club I remember from a few years ago called, Pepper Hearts; this band I knew as a Beatles tribute band. Well they were well attired in stage outfits, top to toe; the sound and lighting is good. It's a four piece outfit with a keyboard, On lead guitar is Dave, Bass guitar, is Garry, And a Drummer. Geoff and Mark on Keyboards The opening song was a Beatles hit song, 'Sergeant Peppers Lonely Heart Club', 'A Little Help From My Friends', the sound is good, there are some good harmonies there. The first set was mostly Beatles songs. 'I Feel Fine'; the harmonies in 'If I Fell', were brilliant. There was a questions and answers quiz, not revealed here. But I got the first one wrong. I can't praise these guys enough, the sound like the Beatles. Well it IS a Beatles tribute band. There was one written by Paul McCartney who played all the instruments, did the harmonies and the lead singing, then passed it on to Bad Finger who got it to number 1 in the charts, the song was, ‘Come And Get It’ To finish a superb first set of great music they played 'Something'. A la Max Bygraves. Great music guys..

The Admiral Duncan was busy, again, when Pat and I arrived. The band here is tonight is Revolver, a Rock and Blues. We missed the first part but we can wait. And we missed 'Still Got The Blues'. A Gary Moore hit. Some others they sang and played, 'Can't Explain' 'All Day And All Of The Night', lots more but I didn't know them. I just like the band. There were some more familiar to me like Roy Orbison's, 'Pretty Woman,', next.. 'Valerie', 'Tax Man'. A bit beyond me this style of music but the musicians are very good. Next a Paul Weller tune, 'Changing Man'. 'Sultans Of Swing'. A Dire Straits number. There was 'Sweet Home Alabama'. There was a Kinks number, 'You Really Got Me'. And 'Going Underground', The Jam recorded this one.
If this review is a bit skew whiff it's because I was getting help from Martin Tagg. Pat spotted one 'A Town Like Malice'. Another from Jam. There was, 'I Saw Her Standing There', The Beatles. Status Quo and Johnny B Goode were the last songs of the night. Brilliant, Revolver.
