Saturday 24th August.
John Fitzpatrick invited Pat and I to accompany him and Sharon to Scarborough where he was booked in at the Railway club. The club has a lovely atmosphere about it. We met up with another ‘artiste’ we had met before, 'Albert Pilkington' and his missus Debbie along with some of their family, Nigel, Susan and Natalie.
John opened his show with his usual and well received, ‘How Do You Do’, a Matt Monroe song. During the evening John was asked to sing more of Matt Monro's songs to which he duly obliged. There were songs by Daniel Merryweather, Chris Farlowe, David Alexander, The Tremeloes, Elvis, Cliff and many more. The spontaneous comedy went down a real treat with the members and visitors. The concert chair and bingo caller, Bill, was brought into the act along with other members. John Fitzpatrick is coming along in leaps and bounds and was treated like 'Royalty', (Well deserved John).
It really was a super night that Pat and I really enjoyed… Thank you Sharon and John...
