Ladybalk Recreational & Social Club was a very busy place to be tonight, (Friday). On stage were vocalist, Chris Lafferty and Jo Little. Chris was on first and what a singer he is. He opened his show with Take That’s, ‘Hold Up A Light’, a Michael Buble song followed, ‘You Just Haven’t Met Me Yet’. Chris has a great voice and a good PA system. The dancers were soon on their feet and there was lots of audience participation. He went on to sing ‘Dance With My Father’, ‘You’re My Everything’ and ‘A Picture Of You’.A very
entertaining set from Chris Lafferty...
Next on stage was the pocket dynamite herself, comedienne ‘Jo Little’ and believe me, this little lady at 4’ 8’’ tall, is very funny. No swearing, just a little innuendo and as everyone knows I will not repeat any of her jokes or her aside quips. She is just a funny lady. there was lot's of laughter when she was on stage at her jokes and the faces she pulled. Jo is also the owner of a wonderful voice as she proved when singing, Brenda Lee’s, ‘Let’s Jump The Broomstick’, The Seekers,‘A World Of Our Own’, Elaine Paige’s Memory’.Jo closed her show with a Duty Springfield song, ‘You Don’t have To Say You Love Me’.
Jo told me tonight that she is to appear in a Christmas show in Ipswich from November 21st to December 30th in a cast of 12 where she is the only woman comic. Well done Jo...
My final words on this show tonight are, "Brilliant and well
done Malcolm Cunningham for putting it together"...
Malcolm as you may know was part of Funnybones comedy duo with his brother Brian...
