I called in at Westgate to see the launch show tonight; the club was fairly busy; there were a few agents and acts in the crowd. First on was 16 years old Jarrad Scaife who I learned was a pupil of Sheffield's Stephanie King of 'Stars Of The Future' fame. Jarrad was very smart in a grey suit that appeared to changed colour with the stage lights. He has a fine voice and sang in his set, 'It's A New Day', and 'You Know How I Feel; yes, Jarrard Scaife is certainly a Michael Buble fan.
Next was 18 years old Heidi Mills; she looked good in a very short skirt and top, LTS, Heidi sang in her set, 'Hallelujah', 'The Rose' 'Ave Maria'and 'Son Of A Preacher Man'. Heidi's voice just gets better...
After a short interval we saw, '3Quency' that was the band launching tonight. Made up of lead vocalist, Tristan Drew, lead guitar and backing vocals, Matt Revill and on drums, Shaun Thornley. There were some click tracks to cover keyboards and bass. some of the very impressive set songs were, 'Love Isn't Always On Time', Hold On Me', 'It's Not A Love Song', 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' and a Brian Adams number, 'Good To You'. (I think)... An excellent band with two good musicians and a good lead vocalist... That was the first set nd in the second set there were lots of party songs. Yes folks a mighty good band, give it up for "3Quency"..
