Vickers Street, (The Little Castleford Club with the big heart), welcomed Carrie Michaels looking lovely in a pink knee length dress adorned in silver. Like the shoes. Carrie was in fine voice and the club was pretty busy; there were a good few dancers in the room very early. Carrie is doing really well here tonight, she has had a few requests from the members who were very happy with Carrie's performance. It was good to see Sarah and Leanne again doing a great job both behind the bar, calling the bingo and acting as the Chair Person. More of Carries songs were by Dusty Springfield, Celine Dion, I liked 'Sway', The Pussycat Dolls version, other singing Stars featured were, Gloria Gaynor, Ellie Goulding and a special one for me, ‘Clown’, an Emile Sande hit and a favourite of mine for many reasons. There was an Abba medley, a Motown medley. Carrie sang ‘Nessun Dorma’, a Luciano Pavarotti song; this was well received by the members.
Sarah and Leanne are the two ladies that look after the club here on Sunday nights; it’s a good atmosphere. Come and have a night out at Vickers Street WMC.
August 19th Carrie Michaels is going back to sea. Yes the cruise ships are awaiting her return. She always makes a good impression both at home or away...
There was a young lady, Lauren, who Is only 13 years old here in the club tonight who is a brilliant dancer, she is taught in a dancing school in Castleford, the Victoria School Of Dance where she is being taught, ballet tap and modern dancing: if tonight is anything to go by she will I think quickly rise to fame. I was very impressed with her especially the ballet moves, not that I’m anywhere near being any sort of judge on this, But I know what I saw was excellent. I did get permission from her Nan to take a picture as I said she is just 13 years young...
