FULL HOUSE IN GILLY'S
Gilly's was another place where you need to be early to secure s good seat. If you have never been to Gilly's it's the 'In Place', for Traditional Country Music. Entry is free but it would be nice if you bought a couple of raffle tickets to keep the place going. Tonight is a special treat for me, on stage is the terrific duo, 'WHISKEY'. The lady, Kathy Parr is a good friend from a few years ago, shw plays guitar and is a strong vocalist; her partner is John, he plays guitar and sings too. Kathy's voice is still good and so is John's, they sing in note perfect harmony, the song they are singing at the moment is a song about Johnny Cash. Following this was, 'I Wanna Get Closer', and one called, 'Cold Hearted'; more close harmonies. One I particulary liked was a Skeeter Davis song, 'Silver Threads And Golden Needles', I could listen to Whiskey all night, they really are good. The next song was one about 50 Shades Of Grey to the tune of 'Forty Shades Of Green'. This really was very funny. Whiskey closed this set with, 'Desperado'. Another great show in Gilly's Traditional Country Music Club.
