It's Sunday, I’m going to see Bubbles tonight, she is in the Royal Oak in Crofton, a 30 seconds ride for me since we moved to Mr T Towers. Bubbles looked good in her stage outfit, a black fishtail dress. The voice is good, her smile is infectious and the full house loved her. Well she is a bubbly character; her first song was the up tempo, 'Argentina' quickly followed by Petula Clark's 'Downtown'. There were the songs of Bon Jovi, eg, 'In His Arms', one by Adele, 'I Set Fire To The Rain'. A customer commented on Bubbles constant smile, well she is a happy character. She had people joining in to Showaddywaddy's, 'Under The Moon Of Love'. Lots more from Bubbles, I liked her version of, 'Runaround Sue', the crowd joined in to this one. She closed the set with, 'We Built This City'. A super show from, Bubbles. It was nice to see my eldest daughter, Susan and her husband 'Tosh', my granddaughter Lucy was there, a relative there was, Tosh's sister, Adele, (no not that one), and her hubby, Dave. Looking after Bubbles sound was her dad, Steve, he was doing a good job too.

On to the Prince Of Wales to see Karl Cooper, a very tall man, he has a good voice and personality and a quality sound system. He opened his show with an Elvis Presley medley, his next song was, and ‘I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues'. A Billy Fury song was 'Halfway To Paradise’; another song covered by Elvis and Billy Fury was a Conway Twitty hit song; 'It's Only Make Believe'. A song from yesteryear was, 'Ain't That. Kick In The Head', this has been covered by lots of other artistes, too many to mention but I liked Karl's version. Lots more featured artistes in the show. But I am not giving away Karl's show. Just go and have a listen for yourselves.

It's been a while since I was in the Normanton Liberal club. I just happened to be passing, hmm, I thought, go and see who the act is. It was Comedy duo, Hope And Pray. There were lots of jokes as you would expect but not repeated here. They sang a few songs in harmony and closed their set with Luther Van Dross's, 'Dance With My Father'. Good set guys...
